PAUL GAMESON
Muiscal Director
Paul Gameson founded The Ebor Singers while studying as a postgraduate at the University of York and singing in the Choir of York Minster, and much of the group's early repertoire was taken from his D.Phil research into English and French seventeenth-century sacred music.
Paul began singing professionally at an early age as a chorister at St George's Chapel, Windsor. After a gap year singing at Hereford Cathedral, he went to read music at the University of York. Like many people, he was only staying for three years, but twenty years later, he's still there... singing in the choir of York Minster, in demand as a choral director, workshop leader, academic, and singing teacher, and (most importantly) dad of two young boys!
Paul also manages White Rose Music Events, and teaches singing at St Peter's School, York.
