The York Siege Project

The York Siege Project is an educational programme promoting an artistic and historic awareness of York's recent heritage that is part of The Ebor Singers' developing community outreach scheme.

2006 marked the inaugural celebration of events of the Siege of York - Siege! - which includes music, lectures, school workshops and re-enactment.

Summer 1644. Royalist forces in York were besieged by the joint armies of Parliament and Scotland.
