The York Siege Project

The York Siege Project is part of The Ebor Singers' educational programme developing an artistic and historic awareness of York's recent heritage.  It also promotes other events that celebrates York's history.

2006 marked the inaugural celebration of events of the Siege of York - Siege! - which includes music, lectures, school workshops and re-enactment.

2009 sees a week-long festival promoted by York Archaeological Trust in association with The Sealed Knot, York: City under Siege.

Summer 1644. Royalist forces in York were besieged by the joint armies of Parliament and Scotland.
