Director

Paul Gameson began singing professionally at an early age as a chorister at St George’s Chapel, Windsor. More recently, as a tenor, he has sung with Corona Corona Coloniensis and Red Byrd, and in the choirs of Hereford Cathedral and York Minster.

He has recently completed his D.Phil on the early development of French few-voiced motets, studying at the University of York and the Université François Rabelais in Tours, France, and is currently Publications Research Officer of the York Early Music Press. It was while studying in York that Paul founded The Ebor Singers.

As a specialist in seventeenth-century French music, he has given lectures and master-classes, and his editions have been used by The Ebor Singers, the Gabrieli Consort and Corona Coloniensis.
